HEBRON (Ma’an) — Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian man at the entrance of the Kiryat Arba settlement in the occupied West Bank district of Hebron and critically wounded a woman who was also in the vehicle after the two allegedly carried out a car ramming attack on Friday that left three Israeli civilians injured.

The slain Palestinian was later identified by locals as Moussa Muhammad Khaddour, 18, while the wounded Palestinian woman was identified as Moussa’s fiance, 18-year-old Raghad Abdullah Abdullah Khaddour, the sister of Majd Khaddour who was killed by Israeli forces at the same junction in June after attempting a car ramming attack.

Israeli army spokesperson Peter Lerner said in a statement that three Israelis were wounded in the attack, without specifying the extent of their injuries.

He added that Raghad Khaddour was evacuated from the scene. Lerner also posted a picture of the crime scene on twitter, showing blood-stained car seats with a large knife placed on the passenger seat. Lerner did not reference or explain why a knife was placed in the center of the passenger seat in his statement.

Later Friday evening, Karim Ajwah, a lawyer from the Palestinian Committee of Prisoners’ affairs, said Ragahad Khadour was “in a difficult and worrying medical condition.”

Ajwah said that Khadour, who was at the intensive care unit of the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, was shot with live fire in the abdomen area, connected to a respirator, and had completed an operation earlier in the day. Her condition was difficult but stabilizing, he said.

The two Palestinians originate from the village of Bani Naim, which has experienced an escalated crackdown by Israeli forces after a series of attacks were committed by Palestinian residents of the area at the end of June and early July. The village was completely sealed from the rest of the West Bank for more than a month as Israeli forces placed the entire village under a military blockade and revoked Israeli travel permits for some 2,700 residents of the village.

BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) — Israeli forces on Wednesday shot and killed a pregnant Palestinian woman and her 16-year-old brother after they allegedly attempted to carry out a stab attack on border police at Qalandiya military checkpoint near Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, police and witnesses said.

Israeli police spokesperson Luba al-Samri said two suspects — a woman and a youth — approached the vehicular path leading through the military checkpoint and walked towards border police officers, the woman with her hand in her bag and the youth with hands behind his back.

Officers ordered them to halt several times and they began to turn back before police said the woman threw a knife at an officer. Police opened fire, killing the woman immediately. The youth’s death was confirmed shortly after.

An eyewitness told Ma’an that Israeli forces fired more than 15 rounds into the woman’s body, confirming her death.

Witnesses are heard in video footage of the scene following the incident claiming that a Palestinian boy approached the woman after she was killed, before being shot by Israeli forces as well.

The Palestinian Red Crescent told Ma’an that Israeli forces denied Palestinian paramedics access to the woman and child for medical treatment.

The Palestinians were identified as 24-year-old mother of two Maram Salih Hassan Abu Ismail , and her 16-year-old brother Ibrahim , according to a Palestinian military liaison. The siblings were from the West Bank town of Qatuna.

The family later told Ma’an Maram was five months pregnant at the time of her death.

No Israelis were injured in the incident.(...)

GAZA CITY (Ma’an) — A Palestinian was killed and three others were injured by Israeli artillery fire on Wednesday in the northern Gaza Strip after the Israeli army said the four planned to attack forces on the borderline.

Palestinian medics and security sources told Ma’an that the man was killed and the others sustained serious injuries during a brief military incursion by Israeli forces. The man was identified as Mousa Zaiter , 23.

Witnesses told Ma’an that Israeli military vehicles and bulldozers had crossed the border fence into the strip around 7 a.m. east of Beit Lahiya before leveling lands on the Palestinian side of the border.

An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an that Israeli military forces in cooperation with the Israeli Security Agency targeted a “terrorist cell planning to detonate an explosive device against Israeli forces” stationed on the borderline.

Israeli media reported that the alleged “terrorist cell” had been targeted in an airstrike.

Peter Lerner, a head Israeli army spokesman, in a statement following the incident said: “Israeli forces guarding the border with Gaza face a growing threat from hostile terror groups attempting to destabilize the situation on the ground.”

Lerner added that Israeli forces would “continue to protect the residents of Israel and the forces guarding them on the border.”

Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri held Israel responsible for the attack, and warned against further Israeli military action in Gaza.

BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) — Israeli police on Monday shot and wounded a Palestinian man after he allegedly stabbed and seriously injured a 70-year-old Israeli man in the northern Israeli city of Netanya, north of Tel Aviv, Israeli sources said.

A spokesperson for Israel’s emergency services Magen David Adom (MDA) said that the Israeli was in a serious condition and had been taken to Laniado hospital in Netanya.

He said MDA had also treated the injured Palestinian but had no immediate information on his condition.

The Palestinian has been identified as Ziyad Ridha, 22, from Balaa village east of Tulkarem in the northern occupied West Bank, the head of the village local council told Ma’an.

Israeli army spokesperson Peter Lerner said that the Palestinian “terrorist” was shot by police in Netanya, while the 70-year-old was “severely wounded.”

Just hours before the incident, at least three Israelis were injured in a stabbing attack outside a bus station in Rishon Lezion south of Tel Aviv, including an 80-year-old woman left in serious condition.

Initial reports indicated that the attacker was a Palestinian from the southern West Bank city of Hebron and had been injured and detained.

An Israeli police spokesperson could not be reached for comment on either incident.

HEBRON (Ma’an) — Two Palestinians were shot dead by Israeli forces on Saturday evening after allegedly carrying out separate stabbing attacks in Hebron and Qalandia in the occupied West Bank.

Their deaths bring the total number of Palestinians killed on Saturday to five, in each case after they allegedly attempted to carry out stabbing attacks, although Palestinian sources have contested that at least one of those attacks actually took place.

In central Hebron, a Palestinian was shot and critically wounded after he allegedly stabbed and moderately injured an Israeli soldier on Shuhada Street in the Old City.

The Palestinian was taken to Shaare Zedek hospital in Jerusalem where he succumbed to his wounds, a hospital spokesperson said.

Israeli media reported that the Israel soldier was stabbed in the shoulder, and an Israeli army spokesperson said he had been evacuated for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, at Qalandia checkpoint to the south of Ramallah, a Palestinian man was shot dead after he allegedly stabbed and injured an Israeli border police officer.

Israeli police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld alleged that the Palestinian was shot with the “knife in his hand.”

Israeli army spokesperson Peter Lerner said on Twitter that the Palestinian man was shot twice — once after stabbing an officer, and again after drawing “a second knife.”

Rosenfeld said that the area had been closed off, and there were reports from locals that the checkpoint has been closed.

Earlier on Saturday, 17-year-old Bayan al-Esseili was shot dead by Israeli forces after allegedly stabbing an Israeli police officer in Hebron, near the illegal Kiryat Arba settlement.

Gaza (Territoires palestiniens) - Une femme enceinte et sa fille âgée de deux ans ont été tuées dans un raid aérien israélien qui a détruit leur maison dans le nord de la bande de Gaza, ont annoncé tôt dimanche matin des sources médicales.

Les victimes sont Nur Hassan , 30 ans, et sa fille Rahaf Hassan , 2 ans, ont précisé des médecins, ajoutant que trois autres personnes étaient toujours coincées sous les décombres de la maison dans le quartier de Zeitun, dans le sud de la ville de Gaza.

L’armée israélienne avait auparavant indiqué que le raid de son aviation avait visé deux ateliers de fabrication d’armes du Hamas, en riposte à deux tirs de roquette samedi depuis Gaza.

Une roquette a été interceptée samedi soir dans le sud d’Israël, avait annoncé l’armée. La nuit précédente, une autre était tombée sans faire de blessé dans la même région.

Ashraf al-Qidra said the woman, identified as Nour Rasmi Hassan was five months pregnant during the time of her death, her daughter Rahaf Yahya Hassan was also killed, and three other family members were injured when their house was damaged from the airstrike near the al-Maslakh mosque in southern Gaza City.

Hours before the airstrike,sirens sounded across southern Israel, as a single rocket was intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome in an area south of Ashkelon.

No Injuries were reported.

According to a statement from the Israeli army, Israeli forces responded to Gaza’s rocket with an airstrikes on “two Hamas weapon manufacturing facilities in the northern Gaza Strip.”

The statement made no mention of any deaths or damages to civilian homes.

Les deux journalistes [ Un vidéaste de l’AFP, Andrea Bernardi, de nationalité italienne et un photographe palestinien de l’AFP, Abbas Momani ] couvraient des heurts entre Palestiniens et soldats israéliens quand ils ont été pris à partie par un certain nombre de soldats, qui les ont invectivés en anglais et leur ont intimé de cesser leurs prises de vue.

L’AFP a protesté auprès de l’armée israélienne et lui a signifié qu’elle allait porter plainte.

« Des mesures disciplinaires vont être prises », a dit à l’AFP le porte-parole de l’armée, le colonel Peter Lerner. « Les plus hauts niveaux de commandements ont été informés de l’incident », a-t-il ajouté en précisant que cela incluait le chef du commandement central, responsable des forces israéliennes en Cisjordanie occupée.

Le photographe de l’AFP malmené vendredi, ainsi qu’un confrère palestinien, avaient déjà été frappés le 24 avril par des soldats israéliens qui leur avaient jeté des pierres. Les autorités israéliennes annoncent que deux Palestiniens tenus pour responsables de l’enlèvement et de l’assassinat de trois jeunes Israéliens en juin en Cisjordanie ont été abattus mardi à Hébron par l’armée israélienne, le jour même où les pourparlers reprennent au Caire pour consolider la trêve à Gaza.
Les faits
Les militaires qui venaient « arrêter  » Kaouasme et Abou Aïcha les auraient abattus au cours de la fusillade, a déclaré le porte-parole de l’armée israélienne, le lieutenant-colonel Peter Lerner, précisant : « Nous avons ouvert le feu, ils ont riposté et ont été tués dans l’échange de tirs », a dit le porte-parole.
Selon des habitants, des soldats ont encerclé la maison de Marouan Kaouasme et Amar Abou Aïcha, activistes présumés du Hamas de la région de Hébron, avant l’aube. Des tirs ont alors éclaté.
Selon des témoins palestiniens, lors d’échanges de tirs intenses, l’armée a également détruit les portes de plusieurs magasins à proximité, provoquant des incendies.
Des dizaines de jeunes Palestiniens ont lancé des pierres vers les soldats près du lieu de l’attaque, ont ajouté les témoins. Un mot d’ordre de grève générale s’est répandu dans la ville où la plupart des magasins n’ont pas ouvert, de même que les universités.

Peter Lerner, an Israeli military spokesman, acknowledged that an errant mortar round fired by Israeli troops had exploded in the school’s courtyard that afternoon but said the yard had been empty at the time. He provided a video with 10 seconds of black-and-white footage shot by an Israeli drone that showed a blast in what appeared to be an empty courtyard. “It is extremely unlikely that anyone was killed as a result of that mortar,” he said.
