This verse is a good candidate for the theme of the book.
Through his body on the cross, Christ set aside the law with all its commands and rules. He planned to create one new people out of Jews and Gentiles. He wanted to make peace between them. Ephesians 2.15 NIVr.
Jesus brought people together the right way, through his sacrificial death. That’s the only way to do it still.

The task is not done until we know all that Jesus has commanded and teach others to obey him in all things.

God defines and shows. Can’t get much better than that.

Through obedience to God’s commands, man is given the blessing of seeing God’s glory.
