“We are horrified at details emerging from mass graves recently unearthed in the Gaza Strip. Over 390 bodies have been discovered at Nasser and Al Shifa hospitals, including of women and children, with many reportedly showing signs of torture and summary executions, and potential instances of people buried alive,” the experts said.

They noted that women, girls and children overall are among those most exposed to danger in this conflict, and that as of 29 April 2024, of 34,488 Palestinians killed in Gaza, 14,500 have been children and 9,500 women. Another 77,643 have reportedly been injured, of which 75% are estimated to be female. Over 8,000 others are reported missing or under the rubble – and the experts noted that at least half of them can be assumed to be women and children. They also noted that an estimated 63 women, including 37 mothers are being killed daily and 17,000 Palestinian children are believed to have been orphaned since the war on Gaza began.

Als 1989/90 die DDR unterging, geriet die bundesrepublikanische Linke ins Schlingern. Das unter Federführung von Bundeskanzler Helmut Kohl schlagartig größer gewordene Deutschland stellte eine Bedrohung dar, nicht nur für andere Länder, nicht nur für alles, was als »undeutsch« erachtet werden konnte, sondern eben auch für die Linke selbst. In den frühen 1990er Jahren war nicht zuletzt deshalb eine sich selbst als »antideutsch« definierende Stimmung und Haltung in der radikalen Linken weitverbreitet. Die Anfangsparole »Nie wieder Deutschland!« schien nicht nur berechtigt angesichts einer Explosion von Alltagsrassismus, die der deutschen Wiedervereinigung auf den Fuß folgte. Die Pogrome von Rostock und Hoyerswerda, die sprunghafte Zunahme antisemitischer Friedhofsschändungen und ein Erwachen neuer Großmachtbestrebungen zeigten, dass die Alarm schlagende Deutschland-Kritik zur Wiedervereinigung, die im Ausland zu vernehmen war und von relevanten Teilen der Linken geteilt wurde, prophetisch war.
Nie wieder Deutschland!

Wer sich nicht auf der großen Frankfurter Demonstration am 12. Mai 1990 unter der Parole »Nie wieder Deutschland! Demon­stration gegen deutschen Nationalismus, gegen die Kolonialisierung Osteuropas und gegen die Annexion der DDR« einfand, zu der nicht nur der Frankfurter Arbeiterbund für den Wiederaufbau der KPD, sondern auch die Hamburger und Münsteraner Grüne Alternative Liste, die Kölner Nicaragua-Koordination, die Marxistisch-Leninistische Partei Deutschlands und der Duisburger Antiimperialistische Kongress aufgerufen hatten, war vielleicht, wie der Autor, zu Hause geblieben und etwa dem Aufruf der Antifagruppe Freiburg, des Bundes Westdeutscher Kommunisten, des ­Motorradclubs Kuhle Wampe und des U-AStA gefolgt und fand sich am Dienstag, dem 30. Januar 1990 am Bertoldsbrunnen unter der Parole »Nie wieder Großdeutschland« ein. Oder er suchte am 1. Dezember in aller Kälte den Platz vor dem Kaufhaus Schneider in Freiburg auf, um zu konstatieren: »Das neue Deutschland ist wieder eine souveräne Großmacht. In den Zwei-plus-vier-Gesprächen und dem KSZE-Treffen wurde dem (anscheinend) vorbehaltlos zugestimmt. Es werden der deutsche Faschismus, der Zweite Weltkrieg und seine Folgen zu den Akten gelegt. Damit wird die nie ernsthaft in Angriff genommene Auseinandersetzung mit der Geschichte Deutschlands endgültig verneint. Das ist der fruchtbare Boden für die Offensive von deutschem Nationalismus und Rassismus.«

Die Antworten auf solche Befunde atmeten den Geist der Subversion und des linken Radikalismus: »Wahlboykott, Streik, Demos, alltägliche Verweigerung sind wichtige Negationen des Bestehenden. Ebenso muss die Verwirklichung der Utopie einer befreiten Gesellschaft versucht werden. Es ist alles dranzusetzen, dass eine radikale außerparlamentarische Opposition, ein Widerstand von unten gegen das kapitalistische System Konturen annimmt (…) Widerstand ist die Verweigerung, die Sabotage. Widerstand ist Häuserbesetzen, verstopfte stinkende Straßen zu blockieren, sich die Plätze und Dinge selbstbestimmt anzueignen. Widerstand ist menschliche Wärme, das Zerbrechen der Vereinzelung. Widerstand ist Solidarität mit denen von uns, die sie in die Knäste stecken, ist Solidarität überhaupt.«

Die Sprache und die aufrufenden Gruppennamen verraten es: Nahezu das gesamte radikal linke Milieu – auch das antiimperialistische – war »gegen Großdeutschland« und fürchtete ein neues »viertes Reich«.

In den frühen 1990er Jahren war die antideutsche Kritik also noch eine Form radikalisierter linker Politik angesichts einer sie überrollenden historischen Entwicklung. Demnach spitzte die antideutsche Linke in ihrem Bedürfnis, die Wiedervereinigung als offizielles Staatsprojekt abzulehnen, die im linken Milieu stets eingeübte Subversionspraxis und Haltung radikaler Kritik am Bestehenden lediglich auf Deutschland und die neue Situation zu. Doch in den darauffolgenden zehn, 20 und 30 Jahren gab es eine so rasche und schnelle Entmischung und Neuzusammensetzung dieser Linken, eine Verabschiedung alter gemeinsamer Standpunkte und Konsenspositionen, wie man es in dem Umbruchmoment 1989/90 und den noch im Zeichen des Linksaktivismus stehenden Jahren danach nicht für möglich gehalten hätte.
Kriegsunterstützer

Zwischenzeitlich trommelten Intellektuelle aus der Linken für den Golfkrieg 1991. So verkündete der Anfang 2020 verstorbene Konkret-Herausgeber Hermann L. Gremliza anlässlich des US-Kriegs gegen Saddam Hussein, »dass hier einmal aus falschen Gründen und mit falschen Begründungen das Richtige getan zu werden scheint«. Krieg sei notwendig zum Schutz Israels. »Nie wieder Krieg« und »Nie wieder Auschwitz« sollte nicht mehr länger untrennbar sein. »Es kann schlimmere Übel geben als den Krieg«, darin waren sich plötzlich linke Staatskritiker und liberale Staatsphilosophen wie Jürgen Habermas einig. Als aber schließlich angesichts der jugoslawischen Zerfallskriege und des ersten deutschen Angriffskrieges nach 1945 aus dem Mund des ersten grünen Außenministers Joseph Fischer ähnliche Kriegsbegründungen zu vernehmen waren wie während des Golfkriegs von den israelsolidarischen linken Bellizisten, war die große Unüberschaubarkeit ausgebrochen. Gelang es der linken Monatszeitschrift Konkret 1991 nicht, ihre Leserschaft von der angeblichen Richtigkeit des damaligen Krieges zu überzeugen, wie die Flut empörter Leserbriefe und Abonnementkündigungen zeigte, so vollbrachte Joseph Fischer diese Meisterleistung in bezug auf seine Partei auf einem außerordentlichen Parteitag in Bielefeld 1999: das Einschwören einer ursprünglich pazifistischen Parteibasis auf einen NATO-Krieg, der noch dazu nicht vom Völkerrecht gedeckt war.

In der Diskursfigur »Krieg ist besser als Auschwitz« formierte sich eine prowestliche Front, deren Kennzeichen ein antifaschistisch begründeter Bellizismus und die Unterstützung für Israel waren. Später sprachen sich Antideutsche gemäß dieser Logik für den »War on Terror« in der Folge von »Nine Eleven« sowie für den Krieg gegen den Irak im Jahr 2003 aus. So etwa auch in der traditionsreichen Zeitschrift Blätter des Informationszentrums 3. Welt (heute iz3w) aus Freiburg, die in dieser Zeit sehr stark von Redakteuren geprägt war, die sich am antideutschen Diskurs orientierten. Die iz3w-Reaktion meinte: Gelogen werde in Zeiten des Krieges doch immer, was solle die Aufregung, schließlich sei der Diktator Saddam Hussein entmachtet, darüber soll man sich freuen und dies den »Demokraten Blair und Bush« danken. Verdruckste Kriegsapologetik wurde auch in einer unter Gesprächsleitung von Jörg Später stehenden iz3w-Diskussion artikuliert, in der ein anderer Redakteur das redaktionelle Lavieren im Nonsensbekenntnis »Die USA wollen das (partiell) Richtige, aber aus den falschen Gründen und mit den falschen Mitteln« zusammenfasste und damit Gremlizas Bekenntnis von 1991 nachäffte.

Besonders pittoresk und der antideutschen Ideologieprägung der Redaktion geschuldet war jedoch, dass die Golfkriegsrechtfertigung als Aktualisierung der Kritischen Theorie verkauft wurde. Wer sich nämlich den Fakten, also den Kriegslügen der USA widme, der sei in das »Elend des Positivismus« verstrickt. Es gelte statt dessen, das »Ganze als das Unwahre« – wie Adorno aus der »Minimal Moralia« zitiert wurde – zu erkennen, und da wären doch ein paar gefälschte Fakten nicht weiter der Rede wert. Diese Haltung transportiere die »Vorzüge der kritischen Vernunft«, hieß es bei iz3w, deren Redaktion bis heute von solch prowestlichen Stimmen beherrscht wird.

War dieser unumwunden positive Bezug auf die mit Lügen begründete imperialistische Politik der USA und deren kriegerische Aggression also die gebotene Überwindung des alten »Antiimperialismus«, die die Linke den Antideutschen zu verdanken habe, wie so manch einer heute noch meint? Anhand dieser Episode zeigt sich jedenfalls, wie Theorie zur Mode verfiel, wie kritische Begriffe zu reinen Spielmarken derer verkamen, die mit dem Repertoire der Kritischen Theorie bloß kokettierten.
Sympathien für rechts

Dieser antideutsche Bellizismus hatte seinen Scheitelpunkt 2003 sicherlich erreicht. In den vergangenen Jahren hat sich die Selbstbezeichnung »antideutsch« verflüchtigt. Nicht jedoch der Zuschnitt der antideutschen Agenda, die in herrschende ideologische Kanäle diffundiert ist. Für die meisten Antideutschen war der klassische Linke das Objekt, an dem sie sich abarbeiteten; längst war man darin eingespielt, Linken vorzuhalten, sie seien antisemitisch, völkisch, nationalistisch und antiamerikanisch. In diesem Urteil – besonders, was Antiamerikanismus und Antisemitismus anging – traf sich der Antideutsche mit dem Rechten, der in Springers Welt oder mit Joachim Fest von der FAZ schon länger den linken Antiimperialisten als neuen Nazi erkannt hatte. Damit lag ein markanter Wechsel in der Bündnispolitik auf der Hand. Konservative und offen antilinke Publizisten und Wortführer, Medien wie politische Kräfte schienen einem Teil der »Antideutschen« als akzeptabel: Henryk M. ­Broder und die Freiburger Initiative Sozialistisches Forum (ISF), die sich als »Linkskommunisten« bezeichneten, gemeinsam gegen angebliche linke Antisemiten. Querfront?

Ein jüngerer Tiefpunkt dieser Entwicklung war der auch in den Medien rezipierte Szenestreit um den Bahamas-Autor Thomas Maul, der die AfD am 9. Mai 2018 nach einer Rede des Fraktionsvorsitzenden Alexander Gauland anlässlich des 70jährigen Bestehens des israelischen Staates als »einzige Stimme der Restvernunft im Bundestag« lobte. Mit der AfD also für Israel und gegen Antisemitismus. Genau dieser Teil der Antideutschen befleißigt sich einer »Islamkritik«, der auch rassistische Invektiven nicht fremd sind. So haben einige Antideutsche also durchaus Verständnis für die AfD, wenn die Partei Israel bedingungslos unterstützt, und auch für die »Patriotischen Europäer gegen die Islamisierung des Abendlandes« (PEGIDA), wenn sich bei deren Kundgebungen eine »Islamkritik« artikuliert. Im Visier steht hier wie dort: die muslimische und arabische Bedrohung.

Der »Sommer der Migration« 2015 war für einen Teil des vormalig antideutschen Milieus ein Scheidepunkt. Die Entscheidung fiel zugunsten des Staates aus. Aus traditionell israelfeindlich eingestellten Ländern, so beschwor man, rückten antisemitische Migranten auf Deutschland zu. Diesem Ausnahmezustand war in den Augen der ideologisch aufgerüsteten ehemaligen Linken nur mittels Flüchtlingsabwehr als praktischem Antiantisemitismus zu begegnen. Der Betrug solcher Antideutschen erweist sich nicht zuletzt in dieser rabiat deutsch-souveränistischen Selbstpositionierung.
Durchlauferhitzer

Nun mag man im Falle der Bahamas tatsächlich abwinken. Doch diese schrille Berliner Zeitschrift muss als Durchlauferhitzer angesehen werden für eine ganze Menge Publizisten und Wissenschaftler, die auf ihrem individuellen Marsch durch die Institutionen inzwischen angekommen sind und so auf lange Sicht vermochten, antideutsche oder besser: antilinke Allgemeinplätze im publizistischen, wissenschaftlichen und pädagogischen Feld zu verankern. Stephan Grigat, Matthias Küntzel, Samuel Salzborn, Jan Gerber sind nur einige Namen, die hier zu nennen wären.

Ging es den Marschierern durch die Institutionen in den 1970ern um eine Verbreitung linker, tendenziell auf Gleichheit abstellender Inhalte in Universitäten, Schulen und Sozialarbeit, so wirken die antideutschen Interventionen auf diesen Feldern als Kampfansage an soziale Gleichheitsvorstellungen, an Antirassismus und die Linke allgemein. Der Antisemitismusvorwurf an die Opposition von links ist hierbei das beliebteste Disziplinierungs- und Skandalmittel. Gekoppelt wurde dieser Vorwurf nicht grundlos mit der Behauptung, die Partei Die Linke demonstriere in ihrer Haltung zu Israel ihre Unfähigkeit, mit anderen Parteien zu koalieren. Der ehemalige Bahamas-Autor Samuel Salzborn und der Jungle World-Autor Sebastian Voigt lancierten einen demagogischen, wissenschaftlich kaum haltbaren, aber in der Öffentlichkeit um so wirksameren Artikel, worin ein angeblich hegemonial werdender Antisemitismus innerhalb der Partei diagnostiziert wurde. Der Beitrag, in Teilen als Vorabdruck in der Frankfurter Rundschau erschienen, sorgte für eine aufgeregte Debatte und führte sogar dazu, dass im Bundestag eine aktuelle Stunde zum »Antisemitismus der Partei Die Linke« abgehalten wurde.

Samuel Salzborn, der von 2012 bis 2017 Professor für Grundlagen der Sozialwissenschaften an der Georg-August-Universität Göttingen war, formuliert in einem anderen Kontext: »Die linken Organisationen, die heute Antisemitismus und Israel-Hass verbreiten, verfolgen nach wie vor das völkische Weltbild des Antiimperialismus, das von ethnisch-kulturellen Homogenitätsvorstellungen geprägt ist: als Glaube an ethnische Kollektive, die nur in ihrer völkischen Homogenität und als einheitliche Kultur wahrgenommen werden – und nicht in ihren Widersprüchen und Abweichungen. Der Antiimperialismus, der sich primär gegen Amerika und Israel richtet, stellt die Rahmenideologie dar, deren integraler Bestandteil der Antisemitismus, vor allem in Form des Antizionismus ist. Der antiisraelische Antizionismus im Gewand antiimperialistischer Ressentiments fungiert dabei – zusammen mit dem Antiamerikanismus – als zentrales ideologisches Element des Linksextremismus.« Das mag für einen Unkundigen oder einen Staatsschützer einleuchtend klingen, allein: Welche linken Organisationen sind gemeint, von welcher Verkörperung des »Linksextremismus« ist die Rede?

Ein Schlüsseltext zur Denunziation der antiimperialistischen Linken als antisemitisch stammt (wie die ISF mit ihrem Ça-ira-Verlag ebenfalls aus Freiburg) von Thomas Haury. In dem aus den frühen 1990er Jahren verfassten Artikel macht Haury vor dem Hintergrund einer äußerst schmalen Quellenbasis eine »Logik des bundesrepublikanischen Antiimperialismus« aus, die »strukturell antisemitisch« sei. Dieses Verdikt hat sich mittlerweile zu einem ungeprüften Vorurteil entwickelt. Verspricht es den einen die politisch korrekte moralische Haltung, so ist es anderen ein interessengeleitetes Geschäft.

Wer sich für das Schicksal der Palästinenser einsetzt, wer aus internationalistischen beziehungsweise antiimperialistischen Motiven Kritik an Israels Besatzungspolitik übt, dem kann, dem wird nicht selten kurzerhand »Antisemitismus« unterstellt. Mit Mena-Watch, einer Ende 2011 in Wien ins Leben gerufenen proisraelischen Medienbeobachtungsstelle, oder den Ruhrbaronen, einem einflussreichen rechtsliberalen Blog, finden sich passende Plattformen, denen keine Anklage zu konstruiert, kein Antisemitismusvorwurf zu abwegig erscheint, in ihren ideologischen Filterblasen und Echokammern jedwede Kritik an der israelischen Politik auszuschließen.

Ein wichtiger Protagonist ist in diesem Zusammenhang der Publizist und Buchhändler Alexander Feuerherdt, der seit 2006 den Blog Lizas Welt unterhält und neben Fußballthemen vor allem proisraelische Kommentare zum Nahostkonflikt verfasst. Er schreibt für die Jüdische Allgemeine, den Tagesspiegel und gehört zu den regelmäßigen Beiträgern für Henryk M. Broders rechten Blog Achse des Guten. Außerdem war er bis zum Ukraine-Krieg polemisch zuspitzender Autor zu Israel und Nahostfragen für Konkret. Was die politische Kampagne »Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions« (BDS) angeht, erklärte er dort, dass die sich »nicht ›nur‹ gegen die israelische ›Besatzung‹ richtet, sondern dass das, was früher ›Kauft nicht beim Juden!‹ hieß, heute de facto zur Parole ›Kauft nicht beim Judenstaat!‹ mutiert ist«.
Zur Staatsräson geronnen

Diese Sichtweise ist inzwischen offiziös geworden: Felix Klein, der Bundesbeauftragte für jüdisches Leben und gegen Antisemitismus legt fest: Die »BDS-Bewegung ist in ihren Handlungen und Zielen antisemitisch«. Mit dieser Bestimmung gerät der ehemalige Diplomat allerdings in Widerspruch zu aktuellen Forschungsergebnissen. Viele Historiker und Politologen verweisen auf den menschenrechtlich motivierten Zuschnitt der gewaltfrei agierenden BDS-Kampage. So schreibt der Antisemitismusforscher Moshe Zimmermann, mit der ideologischen Kategorie des »israelbezogenen Antisemitismus« gerieten BDS »oder die BDS-nahen Kritikerinnen der israelischen Politik in den Mittelpunkt des neuen Antisemitismusstreits, parallel zur Marginalisierung des ›klassischen Antisemitismus‹ im rechtskonservativen Lager«. Und auch der Historiker Gerd Koenen urteilt, es handele sich bei BDS um eine »aus linker oder liberaler Ethik gespeiste internationale Solidaritäts- und Boykottbewegung gegen die israelische Besatzungspolitik«. Etliche namhafte jüdische und israelische Wissenschaftler, von denen viele in den Bereichen jüdische Geschichte und Antisemitismus forschen, appellierten an die deutschen Parteien, über BDS zu diskutieren, »eine kategorische Delegitimierung solcher gewaltfreien Mittel ist falsch und kontraproduktiv«.

Seit dem 7. Oktober, dem Angriff von bewaffneten Hamas-Einheiten aus Gaza und den sich anschließenden Massakern an israelischen Zivilistinnen und Zivilisten, hantiert die große Medien- und Politikkoalition noch leichtfertiger mit dem Antisemitismusvorwurf. In den entsprechenden Diskursen steht wohlfeile Moral gegen reale Interessen, gegen Begriff und Vernunft, um einen beständigen Verdacht zu artikulieren. Denkfaulheit und eine falsche Identifizierung der Juden mit Israel und einer Kritik an Israel mit Antisemitismus fallen so mit der »Staatsräson« Deutschlands zusammen.
Immer schon Mainstream

Die Antideutschen mögen als »Antideutsche« verschwunden sein. Doch bereits als wahrnehmbare Szene waren sie »Mainstream im sektenhaften Gewand«. Mittlerweile gehören Teile ihrer Positionen zur deutschen »Staatsräson«. Sie sind kein vergessenes Randphänomen, vielmehr aktueller Ausdruck des »Elends der deutschen Zustände«, die sich durch militaristisches Denken, prowestlichen Konformismus, Verachtung der linken Geschichte von Internationalismus und Antiimperialismus auszeichnen. Aus mannigfaltigen Gründen bedienen sie die offizielle deutsche »Staatsräson«, Israel bedingungslos zu unterstützen. Kritisch ist daran nichts mehr; eine antideutsche Haltung im positiv-emphatischen Sinne von Unangepasstheit, Nonkonformismus und Antistaatlichkeit kann in dieser Haltung schon lange nicht mehr ausgemacht werden.

In the 1880’s Zionism starts gaining popularity alongside “antisemitism.” Wolf was fiercely antizionist, because he saw Z’a enacting all the antisemites’ worst fantasies. Antisemites claimed Jews could never be truly German and…Zionist Jews were saying the same thing. 10/

Wolf fought for minority rights at the Paris Peace Conference after World War I and secured the “minority treaties” from the League of Nations, which were SUPPOSED to protect Jews and other ethnic and religious minorities across Europe. But that…obviously did not work out. 11/

Because following WWI, half of Europe is desperately impoverished, and desperately impoverished people are easy to manipulate into hateful mobs, and self-proclaimed “antisemitic” politicians took full advantage of that to get elected. 12/

So there’s this explosion of anti-Jewish hate, violence, and discriminatory laws, and by the 1930’s, Wolf and other Jewish writers have dropped this distinction between “Judenhass,” and “antisemitism," and the terms are used synonymously. 13/

In “In the article “Towards a History of the Term Antisemitism,” (free to read!) David Feldman sums up the absurdity of this conflation. “the creation of the state of Israel transformed the relationship of Jews to state power” and to minorities. 15/

Jews in 1930s Germany had far more in common with Palestinians today than w/Israeli Jews, in terms of oppression.

Because antisemitism in Germany THEN was white supremacy. And anti-Palestinian hate NOW is white supremacy. All that’s changed is who gets to define whiteness. 16/

So when the US Congress says, “anti-zionism is antisemitism,” that’s like saying a thing is its opposite. It’s as absurd as saying, “anti-racism is racism.” Now I don’t think we should let Congress decide…much of anything, including the meanings of words... 17/

But the term is also confusing. Every time I use it lately, I get a flood of comments saying, “Arabs are semites too, so being anti-Palestinian IS anti-semitic.” And I used to respond, well, words don’t always mean exactly the sum of their parts... 18/

Antisemitism was coined to mean J-hate, and has always been used to mean J-hate. And besides the whole category of “semite” is this relic of bogus race science. But regardless, Palestinians and Arabs more broadly feel erased by the term, and we should take that seriously. 19/

More and more, I don’t see the point in “fighting” for this term that was coined by H*tler’s idol, is based on 18th-century race science, and that Zionists use so often, in such fatuous, bad-faith, obfuscating ways that I’m starting to flinch at the sound of it. 20/

So I’m going back to the OG term “Judenhass,” specifically, I’m gonna say “anti-Jewish hate.” That’s actually one syllable fewer than antisemitism. And it’s clearer, and doesn’t carry all this racist baggage. 21/

S: I mean, I’m Jewish. I’m fairly observant. I was at a Seder last night. When people say the pro-Palestinian movement is antisemitic, they’re lying. I’m just flat-out saying I think a lot of people, on some level, know that this isn’t about Jews. This isn’t about Judaism. It’s about the fact that Israel is committing a #genocide in our people’s name. And if you support it, that is going to lead people to make a bunch of bad inferences about you, because you’re vocally supporting a genocide.

This weaponization is meant to shift focus away from #Gaza, away from Palestine, the people who are being massacred, the people whose bodies they found in a mass grave at a hospital yesterday. The point is to distract from the fact that there is no moral case to defend what Israel was doing. So the only thing that Zionists have going for them is just smears, attacking the movement, tone-policing, demanding we take stances that they’re never asked to take. No one ever asks pro-Israel protestors, “Do you condemn the Israeli government ,” because Israel is seen as a legitimate entity.

Was listening to a descendant of a Holocaust survivor retell their story of persecution and when their grandparents moved to Israel and were offered keys to a home - they found plates set on the table. Realizing it was someone’s home they immediately saw the parallel to when they were forced out of their homes by the Nazis.They didn’t want to do to Palestinians what had been done to them & they handed back the keys. I

t reminded me about what my auntie told me about settlers who had been given Metis homes in Western Canada. She had been researching the history of her community and of the Road Allowances Metis people were forced onto. In some of the letters settlers had ’written home’ to their families, they couldn’t get over how Canada was so generous, providing them with furnished homes.

She remarked that the settlers had commented that they found dishes set on the table and gardens already planted. I had forgotten about this detail about the dishes until I heard the story.

It sounds unreal right? Like how would people not know they were taking other people’s lands or homes? How could they not know it was wrong? Because Metis people were already branded as less-than, undeserving and unproductive. “They weren’t doing anything w/ the land.”

In two of the videos shared on social media, soldiers can be seen singing and dancing in what seems to be an inauguration of a Torah scroll that took place not far from the Salah Al-Din Road outpost.

Ce billet soulignait d’abord que les États-Unis et l’UE accordent toujours actuellement une impunité totale à Israël (les ventes d’armes, et les avantages économiques accordés très importants sont maintenus).

Ce billet détaillait surtout comment les médias occidentaux avaient validé la propagande israélienne qui a donné du Hamas (donc des Palestiniens), puis de l’UNRWA, une image barbare.

Cette reprise par de très grands médias américains et britanniques prestigieux , puis par tous les médias occidentaux, et notamment toutes les chaines de télévision françaises, des mensonges israéliens, ont permis que le bombardement de toute une population civile, sous blocus depuis 16 ans par la 10ème armée du monde, ne provoque que des réactions très limitées de la population occidentale.

La propagande israélienne attribuant faussement au Hamas des atrocités démentielles le 7 octobre (femme enceinte éventrée, bébés décapités) a permis de déshumaniser et même de démoniser le Hamas et donc les Palestiniens. Cette propagande mensongère validée par un article du New York Times puis par la plupart des grands médias occidentaux à travers la planète a permis aux dirigeants occidentaux (Biden, Scholz, Sunak, et Macron surtout), de donner un blanc seing aux bombardements de population civile ("Israël a le droit de se défendre" dans toutes les langues, à travers la planète, mais jamais "Les Palestiniens ont le droit de se défendre").

Un peu plus tard, ce sont les accusations non prouvées d’Israël contre quelques salariés de l’UNRWA qui ont permis aux principaux bailleurs de fonds de cette agence de l’ONU, les Etats-Unis et l’Allemagne, de stopper leur financement, acculant ainsi la population rescapée de Gaza à la famine.

Je n’avais pas fait de copie de mon billet. J’attends donc qu’ils me redonne accès à cette rédaction et à tous les liens que j’y avais insérés.

Les raisons avancées par Mediapart pour cette dé-publication sont les suivantes :

« propos injurieux, diffamatoires, discriminants, envers une personne ou un groupe de personnes, en raison de leur origine, de leur couleur de peau, de leur appartenance ou de leur non-appartenance, vraie ou supposée, à une ethnie, une nation ou une religion. »

לאחרונה העידו בפניי חיילים, מפקדים זוטרים ובכירים רבים מיחידות קרביות, במכתבים ששלחו אלי ופגישות דיסקרטיות שקיימתי עם חלק מהבכירים, רובם ככולם העידו בפניי מדם ליבם על תרבות השקר והולכת שולל בצה״ל ההולכת ומתרחבת לממדים שמעולם לא היו מוכרים בצה״ל, אף כי הדברים ששמעתי לא זרים לי ואף הוצאתי דוחות קשים בנידון בהיותי נציב קבילות החיילים, התרשמתי שהתופעה הנוראה הזו הולכת ומתפשטת בצה״ל כאש בשדה קוצים. כבר בראשית דברי אני רוצה לומר שיש לנו בצה״ל מפקדים קצינים ראויים, אמינים וישרים, אך הם הולכים ומתמעטים בפני הגל העכור השוטף את הצבא, אשר גורם לרבים מאוד מהטובים לעזוב את שרות הקבע, או לא להתגייס כלל לקבע ארוך.

אצטט בפניכם מספר משפטים שעלו בפניי ע״י מפקדים זוטרים ובכירים, וזה רק קצה הקרחון ממה ששמעתי. ( ברצוני לציין שנפגשתי עם כל קצין בנפרד ואף אחד מהם לא ידע על פגישות שלי עם הקצינים האחרים):

״אין לחיילים, לנגדים, לקצינים ולמפקדים גם ברמות הבכירות שום בעיה לשקר לרמה הממונה, והרמה הממונה אוהבת את זה כי זה לא מחייב אותה להתמודד עם בעיות שאינם מוצגות לה והיא יכולה גם להמשיך להציג תמונה טובה כלפי מעלה״.

מפקד נוסף טען בפניי כי ״תופעה מאוד נפוצה היא שקרים, עיגול פינות, טיוח, תיאום עמדות וזיוף בתחקירים על אירועים חמורים, הדוגמאות הן רבות מאוד שחלקן התפרסם בתקשורת, מות החייל מגדוד הסיור של חטיבת הצנחנים בשיטפון בנחל חילזון בצפון, פציעתו הקשה של החייל עילי חיות ממגלן, טיוח, תיאום עמדות והשקרים של המפקדים לאחר האסון, זיוף גיוס החרדים ע״י קצינים בכירים באכ״א, הצגת מצגות שווא לממשלה, לוועדת חוץ וביטחון ולבג"צ. אלה הם רק קצה הקרחון מהדוגמאות שאני יכול לתת״.

קצין בכיר מעל דרגת סא״ל, שעסק רבות בתחקור אירועים חמורים בתחום המבצעי, בתחום תאונות דרכים ונושאים נוספים, סיפר לי כי ״הוא נתקל בתופעה חמורה מאוד של ניסיון המעורבים לעגל פינות, לטייח, לתאם עמדות לפני התחקיר ולשקר במצח נחושה בתחקיר עצמו״.

תרבות השקר מדבקת

״בתעסוקות המבצעיות משקרים ללא מצמוץ בעיניים, יש מ״פים ומג״דים המציגים פעילות מזויפת כלפי הממונים עליהם, פעילות שאין להם כלל כוח אדם ואמצעים לבצעה, אבל זה נותן להם קרידיט מהפיקוד שמעליהם שהם לוקחים יוזמה ומבצעים מעבר למוטל עליהם, בכך הם משיגים הערכה גבוהה יותר לפעילות הגדוד בגזרת התעסוקה, יש מצבים שהמ״פ מציג תכנית פעילות של הפלוגה לשבוע הבא, והמג״ד מבקש מהמ״פ שירשום פעילויות נוספות אף כי הוא יודע שאין ביכולתו של המ״פ לבצעם, העיקר שזה יראה למח״ט ולמפקד האוגדה שהגדוד לוקח על עצמו יוזמה ומשימות נוספות״.

״חלק מהמ״פים משקרים למפקדיהם במסמכים ובמצגות שלהם על השגי פלוגותיהם, פשוט מזייפים את התוצאות של השגי הפלוגה בתחומים המקצועיים עליהם הם נמדדים באימונים, בהכשרות, בתעסוקות ובמבצעים. חלק ממפקדי הגדודים משתפים פעולה עם השקר, משום שאת הנתונים המזויפים האלה הם מעבירים למעלה למח״ט ומשם זה עובר למפקד האוגדה ולעיתים לאלוף, ועל פי הנתונים המזויפים תמונת מצבו של הגדוד נתפסת כטובה יותר וזה גם מוסיף נקודות להערכתו של המג״ד ע״י מפקדיו. היות והמג״ד יודע היטב שאף אחד לא יבדוק את הנתונים שהוא מעביר, וככל שהנתונים מראים על הצלחה גדולה יותר זה מחזק את כולם כלפי המומנים עליהם, הרי שזה מאוד משתלם לשקר, דובריי האמת יוצאים מופסדים, כי הם פוגעים בתמונת הדימוי הטובה של היחידה והם נתפסים כבכיינים אשר אינם הולכים בתלם. ולכן רבים מאוד שרוצים להמשיך בצבא קבע מצטרפים לתרבות השקר שהיא מאוד משתלמת לכולם, הטובים בורחים החוצה״

מפקד אחר טוען כי ״לא מתקיימת שיגרה ביחידות, כל מפקד עושה ע״פ הבנתו, אין סטנדרטים, קיימים פערים גדולים מאוד ביכולות המקצועיות של החיילים והמפקדים, בעיות משמעת קשות, פערים קשים ברוח הלחימה והמוטיבציה לבצע משימות, פערים קשים בשגרה המבצעית, עישון סמים, שתיית משקאות חריפים, שימוש בסמארטפונים בזמן אימונים וגם בפעילות מבצעית. מכל אלה המפקדים הבכירים מתעלמים וזה מאוד נוח להם להציג מצג שווא כלפי מעלה שיראה למפקדיהם שהיחידה במצב טוב, כך שתרבות השקר מרקיעה שחקים״.

רבים מהמג״דים ברוב זמנם אינם נמצאים בגדוד שלהם ובוודאי גם לא באימונים וההכשרות של חייליהם בשטח, אין להם שום השפעה ממשית על מה שקורה בגדוד, הם גם אינם משפעים על מהלך האימונים וההכשרות ולא תורמים מניסיונם דבר, ברוב זמנם הם נמצאים בדיונים אצל מפקדים בכירים מהם, או בימי עיון, כאשר במקום להסתכל למטה כלפי הגדוד הם מסתכלים למעלה, שם נוצרים הקשרים המביאים לקידומם. מה שמאוד חשוב להם לקבל דיווחים חיובים מהמ״פים על הפעילויות שלהם בכל התחומים, על מנת שהגדוד יצטייר כלפי מעלה כגדוד אשר עומד במשימותיו בצורה הטובה ביותר. זה גם מועיל להם בדיוני השיבוצים הקובעים את עתידם״.

התהליך הזה קורה גם אצל מח״טים רבים כלפי הממונים עליהם, תרבות השקר והולכת שולל נמצאת גם בחלק מהמצגות שמציגים תא״לים ואלופים בקבינט ובוועדת החוץ והביטחון (ראה את דוגמת שהתפוצצה לאחרונה – זיוף גיוס החרדים, כאשר כיהנתי כנציב קבילות החיילים הייתי עד למקרים רבים בו הציג הצבא לוועדת החוץ והביטחון מצגות על כשרות הצבא בתחומים רבים שהקשר בין מה שהוצג לוועדה לבין המציאות בשטח היה רופף למדי. תופעה נוספת חמורה מאוד היא ההבנה של מפקדים המציגים מצגות מחוץ לצבא (לדרג המדיני) שלא מכבסים את הכביסה המלוכלכת בחוץ, המסר שהם מבינים ממפקדיהם ששמירת דימוי הצבא חשוב לעיתים מאמירת האמת, הדימוי והנראות כלפי חוץ בראש סולם העדיפויות, המטרה מקדשת את כל האמצעים, ובשביל להשיג מטרה זו מותר לשקר ולהוליך שולל את הדרג המדיני ואת הציבור. התנהלות מופקרת זו אוחזת ברבים מהמפקדים בכל הדרגים המבינים שאלו הכללים להצליח ולהתקדם.

קיבלתי עדויות גם מקציני מטה גדודיים, המעידים כי ״בזמן הקורונה רבות מהישיבות של המח״טים עם המג״דים שלהם נעשו בזום. יש מג״דים אשר בשעת שיחת הזום יוצאים ממשרדיהם ומדברים כאילו הם מדברים מהשטח. תכנית העבודה השבועית של רבים מהמג״דים היא תכנית עבודה פיקטיבית שרובה כלל לא מתממשת, מטרתה העיקרית להרשים את המח״ט בעשייה הרבה של הגדוד".

״קצינים בקבע הרוצים להתקדם בהרבה מאוד מקרים לא נשפטים כלל על הצלחתם , היות ולא קיימים סטנדרטים וקריטריונים להצלחה, והמפקדים שעוסקים בקידומם כלל לא מכירים את ביצועיהם ויכולותיהם של פקודיהם, כי הם מנותקים מהשטח, וזה ממש לא אכפת להם. מה שמשפיע על קידומך זו הליכה בתלם, לא לעלות בעיות, להציג מצגות שקריות על הישגים שבונים תמונה יפה שהמפקד יכול להתגאות בה. קשרים טובים ולא קישורים זה מה שחשוב לקצין שרוצה להתקדם היום בצה״ל, התקרנפות .התרפסות , והתבטלות בפני מפקדיהם. זו גם הסיבה שקצינים הטובים לא רוצים לחתום לקבע ובוודאי לא לעשות קריירה צבאית, זו גם הסיבה שבשנים האחרונות היה גל עצום של עזיבה של קצינים טובים ששרתו בקבע ולא רצו להמשיך בצבא כפי שהוא נגלה לעיניהם״.

״הצבא היום רק טבלאות אקסל ומצגות, כל היום החפירות האלה זה מה שמעניינים את הפיקוד היום. בשטח אין רכבים לקיום תעסוקה מבצעית, אין אמצעים לשגרת ביטחון שטוף. בסיכום מילואים אני מביע מול סא"ל את דעתי שהיא שלילית לגבי התנהלות האוגדה וחוטף מטר של השמצות. לומר את האמת לקצין זו כנראה לא אופציה. זה פשוט לא מקובל עליו, כי הוא רוצה שאשבח את התנהלותו ויחידתו".

דוגמא נוספת של מ"פ מגולני שאמור לחבור לצורך סגירה אגמית, לא מגיע ומתחמק. “כאשר מאמתים אותו על אי הגעתו הלה משקר שהגיע ואף חבר במקרה זה אלי, הוא מסביר איך הגיע, רק שיש מכשול הנדסי בדרך. שקרים ועוד שקרים וטיוחים. מה שמעניין זה המצגות והמשכורת שדופקת כמו שעון. בושה שצה”ל איבד את הצביון. עם אלה צריך לנצח?״

״שתדע שלא רק אתה חרד ממצב המערך הלוגיסטי. בתור קצין בכיר באט"ל אני נחרד כל תרגיל מחדש איך עסוקים קצינים בכירים רק בדבר אחד, להראות הצלחה גם שזו לא הושגה. קשה להם להגיד בסיום תרגיל “לא הצלחנו” אפילו על סעיף אחד קטן. ביקרתי בשבועיים האחרונים בשני תרגילים, האחד משלב לוגיסטיקה והשני לוגיסטי טהור, ערך אמירת האמת פשוט לא קיים בכל מה שקשור לדיווחים של קציני הלוגיסטיקה שראיתי מרמת אלוף משנה ועד סגן, לכל היותר חצאי אמיתות״

״מחסור כוח אדם בכלל ומקצועי בפרט ביחידות הקרביות והמילואים כתוצאה מקיצוצים לא מושכלים והזויים בכוח אדם קבע וקיצור שירות הבנים, הביא לפערים בלתי ניתנים לגישור בין כוח האדם הנותר לאחר הקיצוצים לבין המשימות, ולכן קצינים ונגדים רבים מדווחים כלפי מעלה למפקדיהם דיווחים לא אמינים על ביצוע משימות שאותן הם כלל לא ביצעו על מנת לקבל חוות דעת טובה שהיא תנאי לקידום, נוצר תהליך חמור של תרבות שקר וקשר של שתיקה״.

תרבות השקר בתחקירי צה״ל

בשיחה שהייתה לי עם קצין בכיר מאוד שריכז תחקירים בתחום תאונות המתרחשות בצה״ל בכל התחומים הוא אמר לי ״בתחקירי צה״ל השתרשה תרבות של שקר, טיוח, עיגול פינות, העלמת מידע, ותיאום עדויות של המעורבים לקראת תחקירים וחקירת מצ״ח. במקום לטפל בראש הנחש שהם הקצינים הבכירים שמעלימים עין ואחראים ישירות לתרבות השקר, הרי ברוב המקרים מטפלים בש"ג על מנת לצאת ידי חובה.״

סיכום

אנו עדים לצבא שתרבות השקר והולכת שולל הולכת ומתעצמת, הולכות ותופחת, ובשנתיים האחרונות הגיע צה״ל לשיאים שלא הכרנו מעולם, חלק מהמפקדים חושבים על התפקיד הבא וכיצד ליצור תמונה של יחידה ברמה גבוהה גם אם זו לא האמת.

התוצאה היא מאוד מתסכלת, חמורה ועגומה, הטובים נוטשים את הצבא. חלק מהנשארים בצה״ל הם ההולכים בתלם החוששים להביע את עמדתם ומתקרנפים, לצערי החלק הזה הולך וגדל עם הזמן.

הגענו למצב בלתי ניתפס שמזכיר לי את התנהלות הערבים במלחמות העבר נגדנו. השקרים של דרגי השטח המדווחים כלפי מעלה לממונים עליהם על הצלחה בשטח בזמן שהם כשלו בקרב נגדנו, עיוותו את התמונה בעיני מפקדיהם, והחלטותיהם התקבלו על סמך מידע לא אמין ומעוות, דבר שעבד מצוין לטובתנו. לא פיללתי ולא האמנתי שהצבא הישראלי יגיע לדרגות שקר כפי שהיו בצבאות הערביים אשר תרמו רבות לתבוסתם נגדנו. האם התהפכו היוצרות?

And even when the Israeli military admits to accusations, it makes up excuses: “we acted lawfully,” "these are just a few rotten apples"…

But what do Israel’s past investigations of similar killings tell us?

Take, for example, James Miller – an award-winning British filmmaker.

He was killed by Israeli gunfire while filming a documentary in #Gaza.

Forensic experts from the London police found that the bullets were the same ones used by the Israeli military.

But the Israeli investigation into Miller’s death did not recommend that the suspected soldier be prosecuted.

Even when the British Attorney General asked Israel to prosecute the soldier, Israel ignored this request.

Another example concerns U.S. activist Rachel Corrie, who was crushed to death by an Israeli armored bulldozer in #Gaza.

Corrie was protesting Israel’s demolitions of #Palestinian houses.

Physicians and activists who were there say she was deliberately driven over.

But the Israeli investigation found that Corrie’s death was an accident.

Unsurprisingly, when her parents filed a civil lawsuit against Israel, the Israeli court rejected their lawsuit.

The court described Corrie’s death as “an accident she brought upon herself”.

British activist Tom Hurndall was helping Palestinian children in #Gaza cross a street to avoid gunfire. Then, an Israeli sniper shot him in the head.

Photographic evidence shows that Hurndall was wearing a bright orange vest.

Initially, the Israeli inquiry concluded that Hurndall’s death was an accident.

But then, the UK demanded a more thorough investigation.

This time, the investigation led to the prosecution and conviction of the soldier.

Why? One possible reason is that the convicted soldier was Arab, to whom Israel was perhaps less committed than to its Jewish citizens.

Another possible reason is that the soldier said, during his trial, that the Israeli military had a policy of shooting at unarmed Palestinian civilians.

For Israel, it was easier to convict this soldier than to admit it had been systematically murdering unarmed civilians.

This haaretz report, apparently based on a defence source raises more questions than it answers.

Some points.

1) Firstly, the source acknowledges that there were 3 missiles fired from a drone. There’s no doubt that the operators knew it was an aid convoy. This isn’t in question.

2) Upon destroying the first truck the source claims survivors got out and entered another truck.

3) The second truck was then attacked

4) The survivors then got out and were attacked a third time

5) These multiple strikes were done on three different vehicles the IDF knew to belong to aid workers

6) The defence official initially claimed a single Hamas operative got in the vehicle.

They then say he stayed at the warehouse. At what point did they know his movements? If they knew his movements why wait till he was among aid workers.

7) Even if the presence of a Hamas member, on what basis does one Hamas member justify attacking three vehicles and 7 civilians

8) Furthermore, if the IDF attacked each vehicle in succession, they are implying that the terrorist survived the 1st and 2nd strike. (How did they know he survived?)

9) Indeed, if the IDF can tell that one Hamas operative survived they could target him alone surely?

10) Why would they wait till he departed in the vehicle to attack if this put all three vehicles in danger? Indeed, this implies the IDF protocol is to destroy all vehicles in a convoy if they see any survivors?

11) What this tell us is that the IDF will kill an almost unlimited or undefined number of civilians in order to potentially kill one Hamas member of unspecific rank or commitment

12) While we know that this is more or less how Israel operates, it also likely that they they are providing a cover story to hide a deliberate targeted attack on @WCKitchen

Genocidal incitement for kids

In recent days, schools around the country held Purim celebrations. Some of the more wealthy ones brought well-known artists to entertain the school kids. A highschool in the town of Be’er Ya’akov brought local hiphop duo Ness & Stilla to come play their genocidal anthem “Harbu Darbu”. Stilla even included the extra-genocidal, extra racist shelved verse.

Reading the comments on TikTok, I realized there were also other schools who featured the duo in their Purim celebrations.
